The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) has invited applications for the post of Project Associate I on a walk-in basis. The position is available in the Department of Neurogenetics, School of Basic Medical Sciences. The project is based on the research topic “Epigenetic analysis of human and animal models of neurodegenerative diseases”. The project aims to identify and characterize novel epigenetic marks that are associated with neurodegeneration. The candidate will be responsible for conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and writing reports.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: Master of Science (M.Sc) with minimum 55% of total marks (equivalent grade) in Molecular biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology.
- Desirable Qualification: NET or any national exam qualification is preferable.
- Essential Experience: Molecular Biology techniques, Molecular cloning, Animal cell culture.
- Desirable Experience: Preference will be given to the candidate having expertise with molecular cloning, animal cell culture, heterologous protein purification and molecular biology experiments along with basic bioinformatics analysis.
