The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the CTET February Answer Key 2026 very soon. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 21st edition was successfully conducted on 07 and 08 February 2026 across various centers in India. However, due to administrative reasons, a re-examination was also conducted for two specific centers in Vaishali, Bihar, on March 1, 2026. Candidates who appeared for Paper I (Primary Level) and Paper II (Upper Primary Level) can soon download their provisional answer key and OMR response sheet using their Application Number and Date of Birth.

Eligibility Criteria (पात्रता मापदंड)

CTET qualification is mandatory for teaching jobs in KVS, NVS, and other central schools. There is No Upper Age Limit for CTET.

Both papers consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with no negative marking.

Selection Process (चयन प्रक्रिया)

The CTET is a qualifying entrance exam. The selection process involves the following stages:

  1. Written Examination: Candidates must appear for Paper I and/or Paper II as per their preference.
  2. Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks to pass.
  3. Issuance of Certificate: CBSE provides a DigiLocker-verified CTET Certificate (Valid for Lifetime).
  4. Recruitment: Candidates can then apply for teaching vacancies in KVS, NVS, DSSSB, and private schools based on their CTET score.

Salary/Pay Scale after CTET (CTET के बाद वेतनमान)

Qualified teachers are eligible for various levels as per the 7th Pay Commission:

  • PRT (Primary Teacher): Pay Level 6 (₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400). Approx in-hand: ₹48,000 – ₹55,000.
  • TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): Pay Level 7 (₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400). Approx in-hand: ₹60,000 – ₹72,000.
  • PGT (Post Graduate Teacher): Pay Level 8 (₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100). Approx in-hand: ₹70,000 – ₹85,000.
