Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: MOT I Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class I Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
• Experience: One year post qualification experience as Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer on board a foreign going ship.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through a competitive written examination and/or personal interview.

Age Limit

• Not over 40 years as on 1 January 2026, with relaxation for ST candidates by 5 years and for existing Major Port employees up to 55 years.

Salary Structure

• Regular appointments will be on the payscale of Rs.70000-200000 on the pay pattern linked to Industrial DA and includes cafeteria allowance at 35% of basic pay with annual increment as per stipulated pay structure.
• At present pay levels, the remuneration works out approximately to Rs.1,51,000/- at the minimum of the scale besides admissible work related perks/allowances.
