UPPSC GIC Lecturer Selection Process 2026 (चयन प्रक्रिया)
The selection is strictly based on merit through a two-stage examination process. There is No Interview for the post of Lecturer in Government Inter Colleges as per the latest guidelines.
- Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Screening) – Objective type test to shortlist candidates for the Mains.
- Stage 2: Main Examination (Final Selection) – Descriptive type test. Final merit is prepared based on Mains marks only.
- Stage 3: Document Verification (DV) – Verification of educational credentials and category certificates.

UPPSC GIC Lecturer Salary 2026 (वेतन और भत्ते)
Selected candidates will receive a handsome salary as per the 7th Pay Commission. The post falls under Pay Level 8.
- Pay Scale: ₹ 47,600 – ₹ 1,51,100
- Grade Pay: ₹ 4800
- In-Hand Salary: Approximately ₹ 76,000 – ₹ 82,000 per month (including DA, HRA, and other allowances).
