Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Essential: Graduation degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized University:

Veterinary Sciences
Biotechnology
Microbiology
Applied Microbiology
Virology
Molecular Biology
Or related disciplines

Desirable: Post Graduate degree (Master’s) in any of the above disciplines from a recognized University

All qualifications must be from recognized Universities only

Desirable Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of animal cell culture techniques
Basic virology techniques
Molecular biology techniques
Bioinformatics knowledge

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 45 years
Age relaxation as per Government rules applicable

Selection Process

Screening: All candidates appearing for walk-in-interview shall be screened and shortlisted before the interview
Written Test: A written test may be conducted before the interview to assess technical knowledge
Interview: Personal interview will be conducted to assess candidate’s suitability, research interest, and technical competency
Document Verification: Original certificates will be verified during interview
Final Decision: The decision of the Director, Centre for Animal Health Studies, TANUVAS will be final and binding

Salary/Remuneration

Monthly Consolidated Pay: ₹30,000/- per month only
HRA: NOT applicable
Nature of Payment: Consolidated fixed amount
No Additional Benefits: This is a contractual position under ICAR guidelines with no regular employment benefits

Terms & Conditions

Engagement Basis: Purely temporary, non-regular, time-bound contractual engagement, co-terminus with the project/scheme
No Permanent Status: Selected candidates shall not have any right to claim for regular/permanent appointment under TANUVAS
Initial Duration: One year initial engagement
Extension: Extendable for two (02) more years (one year at a time) based on:

Organizational requirement
Performance evaluation of the candidate
Project continuation
Maximum limit: 3 years total (initial 1 year + 2 years extension)

Termination: TANUVAS holds no responsibility for payment of salary or appointment after expiry/termination of the project/scheme

Project Dependency: Engagement is purely dependent on ICAR-NASF project funding and continuity

ICAR Guidelines: General and other terms & conditions of ICAR guidelines for hiring technical manpower (Young Professional-I & II) shall apply (O.M. F. No. Agri.Edn.I-06/2020 dated 04/12/2020)

Candidates must be present AT LEAST 30 minutes before the scheduled interview time (by 10:30 AM)
No entry/registration will be permitted after 10:30 AM
Bring both original documents AND typed application in prescribed format
Candidates possessing only xerox/photocopy of degree certificates (without originals) shall NOT be allowed to attend the interview
Only those interested to serve at least for one year should attend the interview
Candidates under current employment must submit NOC during interview
