Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification & Experience (varies by post):
  • Senior Consultant: Ph.D. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry + at least 20 years experience in soil survey, genesis, classification, soil characterization in State/Central Government Institution. Desirable: Experience in land evaluation and land use planning.
  • Junior Consultant: Bachelor’s degree + at least 10 years experience in morphological characterization of soil profile under field condition in State/Central Government Institution. Desirable: Expertise in monolith extraction, display and preservation.
  • Research Associate: Ph.D. in Soil Science / Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry / Geography + Diploma in Geoinformatics + at least one publication in SCI/Scopus-indexed journal. Desirable: Working knowledge of remote sensing/GIS software (ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, QGIS, ENVI), experience in handling remote sensing data, intensive fieldwork, knowledge of Pedology/Soil Science.
  • Senior Research Fellow: M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry / Soil Science / Soil Science-Soil and Water Conservation / M.A. in Geography (with specialization in cartography and remote sensing) with at least 60% marks. Desirable: Working knowledge of remote sensing/GIS software, experience in handling remote sensing data, intensive fieldwork, knowledge of Pedology/Soil Science.
  • Young Professional II: M.Sc. (Ag) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry / Soil Science / Soil Science-Soil and Water Conservation.
  • Young Professional I: B.Sc. (Ag.) from a recognized University.

Salary/ Stipend

  • Senior Consultant: Rs. 80,000/- consolidated per month
  • Junior Consultant: Rs. 60,000/- consolidated per month
  • Research Associate: Rs. 67,000/- per month + HRA as per university guidelines
  • Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA as per university guidelines
